It's probably not a good idea to assume C+ is anything other than three inches of legroom and a free alcoholic drink if the flight actually has service. It seems like cabin service on flights less than an hour is almost nonexistant and longer flights I am only seeing a quick trip through C+ early in the trip. I have never seen more variability in cabin crews, I just sent a note of thanks for a supurb crew on a flight last week but I have seen many examples of just getting by service with as little engagement as possible. I'm a little surprised by this one though, I usually get what I ask for within reason if it is an extra snack or drink so maybe the issue is just as stated that their supply was limited.
