On a post-election stay, there are no more hors d'oeuvres served upon arrival for the evening cocktails. The staff were clearly overwhelmed by drinks order from thirsty guests recovering from a dry election day. A good tip is to stick to the Champagne or wine which is easier to serve. The rovering crew were also generous with refills.
The hot offerings were less than satisfying - sliders, okonomiyaki (japanese egg pancakes), Hong Kong rice noodles and roast pork. To their credit, one of my friends had mentioned to the staff that he is gluten-intolerant and we were envious of the delicious shrimp fried rice the kitchen whipped up for him. The food here should not stop you from venturing out into Ruam Rudee or the chicken wings in Soi Polo down the road.
