I downloaded the app and tried to create an account. It's tied to your phone and you need a HK number (+852). As a "guest" it could read my card(s) and see they were deactivated. I tried to reactivate, which required another touch, and then it said it could not read the card.

I'll just get it sorted out when I'm there in a few weeks. But I'm glad I read this thread... I've got two cards and I'd always leave emergency cash on them.
