Trying to decide between HdL (225k points) and PHV (295k points) for a 7-night stay next year for our honeymoon. It would be our first time in Paris and we would definitely be visiting many of the tourist destinations although the location of both seem to be about even. One note is that we would be booked as Guest of Honor if we can't hit Globalist in time, so curious whether one property might have a higher chance of upgrade than the other (I know both may be tough given the slightly longer stay... we could also stay at both for a shorter stay at each). From what I've gathered in this thread, HdL has smaller but brighter rooms while PHV has larger, quieter, and typically darker rooms. For breakfast, PHV allows room service hassle free while HdL charges a fee, but otherwise the food itself is a wash.

I don't mind paying more for PHV if it is clearly better, but have heard that some find the rooms dated, and if HdL is truly a better experience then we might as well save the points - but curious if anyone has any thoughts, especially for a honeymoon stay!
