FYI, this happened to me again last week when visiting another property. I was told that I had no free breakfast given my rate knowing that the front desk attendant had "never seen such rate before". Five minutes of conversation later, I was granted it but that is a pain in the butt.
There's something deeply wrong with the positioning of the "ALL PLUS Voyageur" and its perks: "20 free Status Nights, credited 20 days after when you sign up or renew your subscription for instant access to Silver status level in the ALL loyalty programme, which includes a welcome drink and late check-out".
You're given "free" nights for the purpose of reaching status earlier, for which you are denied benefits...
