I have similar thoughts when I see a Challenger or a Camaro or a Mustang on the aisle — who takes these things as rentals, let alone buys one?
And then I remember: that’s why I enjoy renting from National. I may not find those vehicles personally appealing, but some do. And since I can choose any other vehicle parked next to it on the aisle, I’m free to walk by it with nary a second thought.
I took a Wrangler once, just to try it. I wouldn’t mind taking another if the opportunity presented itself, but I rarely see them on the aisle at HNL and the ones that do pop up are usually base trims. I’ve owned multiple 4Runners (another vehicle that some people can’t comprehend why it’s still being sold or who buys one), so the truck-like nature of the Wrangler didn’t bother me.
