The Airbräu is nice for a stopover but Everything is better in Regensburg. All Hotels in Regensburg are much nicer than the standard (Mc-Donalds) Hilton in Munich. My favourites are: Hotel Goliath or Hotel Orphee (both located in the old town). The drive is under one hour (be aware that there are construction works at the A93 before Regensburg that has effects on the B15n as well). So driving late evening may save you spending some time in the usual traffic-jam. I would drive to Regensburg and have dinner there in one of the restaurants in the old town.
