I once again encountered a property (RC Chicago) trying to shirk the 4pm late checkout benefit. It went something like this, via chat:

Me: Hi, could you please confirm a 4pm late checkout?
RC: We are only able to apply a 2pm check out.
Me: 4pm late checkout is a *guaranteed* benefit.
RC: My apologies for the confusion. It is 4pm check out based on availability. We can do 2pm for you.
Me: That is not correct information. For Platinum members and above, 4pm late checkout is only subject to availability at resort and convention hotels, which this property is not.
RC: The benefits for Marriott elite members is different for each property. I hope this clarifies the confusion.
Me: That is not accurate. Here are the Terms & Conditions: (pastes relevant paragraph)
RC: We will do our best to accomodate!

What a joke.
