halls120 nails it. I'll take IPTE all day long over the "domestic F" seat. Exception to that is, of course, the 757. I'd take one of those over the HD777, without question. All the goodness, none of the downsides. Such a unique plane - really a shame it's on the glideslope.

Just pondering this idea in detail a bit, with the current difference in configs between 77E and 77O, there are roughly 120 Y seats in place of 24 O and 18 J seats. If they didn't add the second J cabin but did include O, they could potentially add back in about 64 Y seats. That would put the updated "high density" config at 32 J + 24 O + 274 Y. Feels like a plausible match for the market, given that I have seen >50 sby clear onto some of these high density 777. Perhaps the O vs. Y balance could be shifted by a row as well.
Anyway, I think it could make sense, and it would be a great improvement, but unfortunately I would be surprised if it to happened. Oh well.
