Can you elaborate on why PDBs were the bane of your existence? I assume you mean lack of time and aisle space is an issue but AS clearly does a poor job with this service standard even when there is plenty of time and that's coming from a 75K that doesn't rank PDBs as very high on his list of things he cares about when flying. I really think PDBs have never really been part of the service culture like it has been for years on some of the other carriers.
And there you have it - service standard v service culture. The same service culture that doesn't enforce boarding order as to not offend doesn't enforce its PDB standard resulting in passengers being offended.
