I've stayed at the Mirror Lake Inn twice and the Stein Eriksen Residences when it was part of the SLH program and got pricing through the Hyatt app that was exactly the same as booking direct. The one caveat at Mirror Lake was not all of the room types were available on the Hyatt app versus booking direct. I payed cash one year and stayed in a standard room, then I used points another year for a standard room and paid the hotel extra to bump up to a suite. I did the same at the Stein Eriksen, using points for a standard room, then paid extra to bump up. I did not get Hyatt points when I paid for the upgrades on either occasion which is why these SLH properties don't mind upselling you. They don't pay Hyatt a commission on any money you spend outside of the original booking through the Hyatt app.

Im guessing that a Mrs & Mrs Smith booking will be a similar experience, which total works for me. As long as I can get points, use points, and get credit for stays I'm totally happy with this acquisition. Hopefully 750 to 1000 of these Smith properties can be retained. I would assume the deal that the properties get though IHG will be similar to what Hyatt is going to offer so those properties currently available on the IHG platform (319 hotels) should all stay for the most part I would guess. That was the first thing I looked at, lots of great properties on the IHG site.
