My gut tells me this round will try to address some of the feedback about how the previous round went and will be better (but some things are not a quick fix).
I know it's a birthright to whine on FlyerTalk (goodness knows I do it too sometimes!), but I also know these people genuinely want to make things better (which is easier said than done with budget constraints). Most other airlines I was at didn't even hold sessions like these because they absolutely 100% didn't want to know.
Oh and PDBs on domestic narrowbodies was the bane of my existence at every US airline I worked at. I know it is frustrating for Alaska management, too.
Hope those who are able to attend enjoy!
Can you elaborate on why PDBs were the bane of your existence? I assume you mean lack of time and aisle space is an issue but AS clearly does a poor job with this service standard even when there is plenty of time and that's coming from a 75K that doesn't rank PDBs as very high on his list of things he cares about when flying. I really think PDBs have never really been part of the service culture like it has been for years on some of the other carriers.
