BA should brand the underside of their aircraft NOW

I would like to propose to the house that BA brand (or perhaps more obviously brand) the underside of their aircraft. Recently I was sitting on Miami beach watching many aircraft flying overhead and noticed the striking branding on the underside of aircraft belonging to certain airlines; in particular Delta, Virgin, Emirates and Qatar Airways.

These are my arguments:
  1. A simple but clear brand logo on the underside of BA aircraft could be a beautiful thing. It doesn't need to be a full BA Speedmarque but could be an on-brand font such as "BRITISH" or "SPEEDBIRD", perhaps in white lettering on the underside blue paint. Nowadays, not everything with BA is perfect but one thing they do pretty well is their branding. They have a history of iconic designs (e.g. the Landor livery).
  2. When on westerly operations, most BA aircraft (LHR based, anyway) fly over central London at least once every 24hrs. This is one of the most densely populated areas of the planet and it is a simple and effective way to market to both business and leisure customers.
  3. If done well it could contribute positively to "UK branding" internationally.
  4. The cost would be minimal as they already paint the underside of their planes. OK, well I don't actually know if the cost would be minimal as I made that bit up but if it was incredibly expensive and complicated I can't imagine Delta would be doing it already.
Thank you for listening.
I know that Waterside monitor my posts on here like a keen-eyed hawk so expect an official announcement within the next couple of months .

On the very slim chance that I haven't completely convinced you beyond any doubt, rebuttals below
