SIN-SFO, UA2, 9 May

Overall a good but unmemorable flight. Service on my side of the aisle was lackluster. I benefited from better service from the other aisle though, as the FA filled up my glass when tending to my wife seated next to me. A few minor gripes:

• The hot towel, which was neither hot nor moist. I took it into the lav and poured some hot water on it. No second towel service.
• The bread was rock hard - and no garlic toast
• No cognac on the flight

Had the beef for dinner, it was good. The shrimp appetizer was generous in size.
Had the mid-flight hot snack, which was pathetic: a tiny pastrami sandwich and luke-warm onion soup.
Breakfast was choice of french toast or cod congee. I had the congee and it was decent enough.
