They didn't process the upgrades until very late (sometime while we were in transit on our connecting flight). I wish I had bid higher, but I don't know how they weight EuroBonus elites vs. non-elites, e.g. an EB Diamond may still win the bid with a lower value than us.
Interesting, I'm 2 month 15ish days out and it's still $790. I'm trying to debate what price point it's worth it for me, I'm thinking it's less then 800 but more then 400. Yeah I'm a non-status as well.. so I guess I should keep that in mind. I haven't flown with SAS before so I don't really know how their premium seating is vs their business is.
What did you use for finding out how many seats were available?
