How about for afternoon flights? We’ve got our first LCY coming up in June and departure time is something like 2:00pm.
We’re staying in the Canary Wharf area and I picked that flight in the name of not doing the slog back to LHR for my onward flight.
I'd be perfectly comfortable walking into LCY an hour before scheduled departure. It's a very efficient airport but once airside there isn't a lot to do. 1pm for a 2pm flight should be fine.
