Reps on the phone or via social media do not handle claims. They only give general information. You may simply file a claim on AF website and wait for them to get back to you.
And once a claim is filled. They can’t have access or intervene on it.
Sorry, maybe I didn't specify clearly enough. The flight is upcoming July. So I can't file a claim yet since that's only possible afterwards.
