Yeh it would be a big gamble here. Depends how crucial this trip is vs. the Asia one, but I wouldn’t be cancelling the existing seats in the expectation of them reappearing.

Best bet would be to leave it closer to departure when more award seats might appear naturally, but that’s a gamble too.

I don’t think an agent will do a ‘swap’ for you without cancelling.
