Totally agreed that the best seafood in a buffet needs zero extra toppings. When I get king crab legs at Costco for $31.99/lb, I tend to just remove the shells and eat the crab meat. Yummy and zero need for any seasoning.
From your photos and report, I definitely can imagine bacchanal being amazing. I had Chinese luncheon with my mommy on Monday (I say this because in the past we’ve discussed how you and I are both fortunate to enjoy time with our mothers) and she might return to Vegas this summer; she was just there in April. I’ll tell her about your Bacchanal joy because she just might enjoy it. I can’t go with her to Vegas and maybe I’ll just treat her to it. I can see the value of $95 or whatever you paid; my mother just can’t see that value because she’ll just compare it to the cheap buffet she enjoyed in the 20th century.
