Just flew LIS-JFK non-stop earlier this week on A330 Neo, once in the air, about 1 hour, FA came down the isle with dinner service including beverage, together - water, soda, juice, coffee/tea, wine & beer ... all complimentary from what's on their cart. Quick & efficient - came around 2nd time once the trays were collected, offering coffee or tea again.
That's it and half of the FA discretely took their rest break, disappearing into the slim closet opposite the bathroom. Lights were dimmed & window curtains pulled down, pax either try to sleep, rest or watch IFE on interactive screen, etc. Thin blanket & small, soft pillow provided to all plus disposable earpiece for music/video playback, USB port active & usable (under the personal IFE monitor) Choice of meal - meat (beef stew w dice potatoes) and pasta as entree (see pix below) - special meals need to be ordered in advance.
5.5 hours into the flight (2 hours prior to landing) - a (cold) snack box, small, was distributed along with beverage service ... Portuguese brown cake in a wrapper plus a small chocolate energy/snack bar. It's a small 4 oz. cup that's about 3/4 filled at most, not a lot of fluid for hydration in flight - just walk to the gallery & ask, see what's available ... we brought mini sandwiches in LIS airport, post-security & unwrapped those to munch on 2/3 way into our homebound flight. Didn't see FA coming around to offer water, juice or soda at other times. Otherwise, a good flight in general and FA / cockpit crew were friendly - ground ops & luggage, check-in & boarding, however, is another story - grade it a C minus at best.
Beef stew w dice potatoes, salad (tiny portion), bread roll w butter, cracker, cream cheese (??) spread, and mousse (??) - sorry, difficult to read the tiny labels of what was served. And, metal utensils ...
TAP fliers - anyone care to identify & explain what that salted cake was and is called ??
