I do like a croissant. But I also love the "jaw-breaker chewy thing". Maybe not jaw-breaking but definitely chewy. It's better than 95% of the breads you get in a grocery store or in a lounge.
I will say the PDX lounge consistently has amazing breakfast breads....delicious fruit danishes....amazing coffee cake.....yum....hoping they eventually show up in some form in-flight but I doubt it. I do miss the UA cinnamon rolls from my days flying UA.
