Back from my stay at Red Feather Lodge, which is just opposite the HIX. Rooms similar to HIX level, nothing special but clean and do the job.
You can't get closer to the park entrance. An early start ensured we beat the lines.
Red Feather Lodge doesn't offer breakfast, but that was more than offset by the saving vs. HIX. On a 12-night road trip, this was the only non-IHG property we stayed at. Would choose it again unless I had bottomless points to burn.
