This forum is about getting the best deal. Overpaying XX% due to this scam solely for the sake of loyalty points and elite nights may not be the best way for everyone to get the best deal.

Probably best to just avoid these properties altogether. Doesn’t sound like very hospitable places if they look for creative ways to scam their guests.
