It is unlikely an agent will book a JAL flight that does not show up online but there may be limited exceptions. It does not hurt to try.
Yikes...ok never mind, I had everything typed out about my attempts to resolve things and I guess it all works now? I guess I was searching in a bad window of time for JL flights. Out of curiosity, If I do a RT of HNL-TYO and TPE-HNL, is that considered RT for purposes of getting JL outbound and KE return routing?
Never mind, I tried it and it worked! The reason I was asking was because when I was doing a TYO-TPE search, there was CX availability at 15K in business routing through HK! So not only would I get 7 hours of CX business, but also lounge access! Total added travel time of 5 hours and extra outlay of 10K. I think that is worth it!
