Long Processing Time for delayed baggage reimbursement for incidentals
The AF agent at CDG never tagged my bag (put 2 tags on my traveling companion's bag!) and it was delayed. (Thankfully I had an AirTag in it and my name and number on the tag, both of which helped a lot).
During the wait, I incurred a small expenses (<$200) for incidental expenses. I have filed a claim for reimbursement with Air France, but that have been very slow to process (it's been almost 2 weeks). Is this normal? (I had a similar claim years ago on Delta and they processed that claim automatically in about 15 minutes). Phone calls to the US 800 number to follow up do nothing more than get a promise from the telephone agent to put a note in the record. There's no way to contact Customer Care for any follow up. Any suggestions? I am SkyTeam Elite Plus via Delta if that helps at all...
