Ok - perhaps under the treat of getting flamed - but is CE ever really worth it?

I always moan and groan if I am in longhaul economy because Club World is SOOO much better (mainly because of flat bed, extra space etc). But, if I am in short haul economy I am not really bothered: CE gets lounge access, a better meal, but the seats are basically the same.

So what am I missing here?
