What you should do is have a look at the schedule for onward flights from MNL to Beijing leaving after your scheduled flight. If there are other options for flights either on PAL or other airlines to get you to Beijing on a later flight then you probably have little to worry about. Note the legal protection you have in local law for rerouting on any carrier in the event of a misconnect a few posts above in this thread. If the misconnect would result in an overnight stay do you need a visa to enter the country?
Thanks, it is actually the return flight from PEK to MNL to YVR. I'm holding a Canadian passport which I think I do not need a Visa, but my girlfriend is holding a Chinese Passport, does she need to apply for a Philippine Visa just in case?
I heard from friends that if you have a USA Visa, you do not need a Philippine Visa for 7 days, do you know if it is true?
