MHC confirmed one of these in 6 minutes yesterday via email.
Hyatt chat has become utterly worthless, don't even bother trying.
Yeah, I'm not saying I hate the program. I'm just pointing out simple and low-cost ways for Hyatt to improve the program.
1.) If the MHC was expected to respond in 24 hours, that would make me use it more. Obviously 6 mins like ^ would be great, but for me it's just the inconsistency. Sometimes it's same day, some times it's 5 days, so I hesitate to use it.
2.) Suites upgrades are nice, plentiful, and have reasonable expiration dates. My wish here is that they could be applied via the app, as it seems to pull inventory listed on the website and there is no really special/unusual situation at play. It seems to me this would save Hyatt man hours as well. It's just a hassle, not a fundamental issue.
3.) The cat 1-7 cert. has annoyed me lately with a.) the fast expiry b.) the lack of cat 8 properties and c.) the inability to apply a suite upgrade to any reservation that touches the free award. My guess is that most people who have a 1-7 award also have suite upgrade awards to use, and most people use the 1-7 award for 1 night of a multi-night stay. All in all, I'd rather Hyatt just give us a fair number of points or give the option, It seems like # of points for a cat 5 or cat 6 standard award would be reasonable, but what do I know.
It's a great program, but these items do annoy me.
