Having just done a merge here is my experiences:
I did not see a preview of nights, and it went straight to submitted for approval (not what I wanted)
Name did not match 100% and was merged anyways, first account was first middle last, 2nd account was first last which is what is on my credit card
Lifetime Nights and years of plat are additive.
Current year nights are added, including 15 from old card linked to other account.
Points migrated over show up in points activity.
Unused Club Certs from Ritz card got migrated over.
Existing reservation using 85K Ritz cert made on other account are not shown in 'My Trips'. When I look up the res number by confirmation number, it shows up as a points advance booking and missing the Ritz cert attached to the res. Call centre does not see the cert either.
Future annual certificates and monthly points earned from other account TBD I guess.
