I have stayed there in FEB 2023 so i can answer ......
The Club Lounge is really a pleasent easy going place for those that can't / won't leave the hotel.
It is on level 18 facing southwest towards NRG stadium.
It is however a small space so access is limited via keycard encoding + the lounge attendant has a daily updated guest / room eligability list.
Max occupancy 94 persons.
1) Club Intercontinental is everyday open for breakfast
weekdays 6.30 till 10.30 H
weekends 7.00 till 11.00 H
all help yourself from the buffet with hot & cold selections
* only the club lounge serves for breakfast a forest fruits bowl: black berries, blue berries, raspberries!
* reallycold milk from fridge available: full cream / 2% fat / skimmed / almond
* vega spiced hot tofu dish is pretty tasty
Mornings weekdays is usually staffed by friendly Mrs. Heidi,
And absolute charming lady who remembers guest preferences, keeps the buffet neat and optimum stocked & replenished.
Always takes a moment to have a chat and manages to combine it with cleaning and setting all dining tables for the next guests.
2) Club Intercontinental : hors d'ouevres & drinks
daily from 17.00 - 19.00 H
- cold buffet with rotating items
- every day 3 rotating hot items on the buffet
Full alcoholic drinks menu available
due to Texas and Houston liquor laws
* no open bottles on display
* served 1 drink per person at a time
* very generous pours
* very attentive: last call announced so everyone's being offered a refill in time
* i got the complete drinks list that's inclus somewhere ... will post later
Alternates between Lydia or Anette having duty, both of which are very welcoming and keep the evening buffet perfectly stocked and all glasses filled with drinks
3) honestly I can't say what benefits are extra for club rooms because i stayed here as Diamond RA, so many benefits overlap....
