JW Marriott Desert - 60k
Residence Inn Scottsdale Salt River 33k - free parking and breakfast

Hyatt
Royal Palms - 29k
Tempe Mission - 9k - seems really low points relative to cash prices

Which ones have a good pool and garden to look at? Last time I was in Scottsdale as 20 years ago. How, we got two young kids. Should I spend more time outside the hotel instead?
The pool at the Mission Palms is very basic- the hotel rooms are quite nice and have been refurbished, but it's main draw is it's location relative to ASU. The Royal Palms is not really kid-friendly, but has great food and cocktails, and great ambience for sitting around the resort. The Canyon Suites is really a genuine luxury property, with extra services, as werll as giving you access to the Phoenician's facilities, which for families, are really good.
The JW Desert Marriott is OK. It was originally built as a conference resort, and is still mostly that, though they are trying to add more activities and family-friendly stuff to give it a wider appeal post-pandemic. They have a waterpark that will theoretically open this fall, for example, and have built a bunch of pickleball courts. They've also seriously upgraded the f&B. The Residence Inn is close to a busy area with a lot to do- there's a Top Golf, and a casino, as well as an Aquarium nearby. It's a newish building, so has that going for it.
