Passed through last night. Not great, food not replenished very frequently, and poor quality (no real snack options like crisps, nachos etc we used to get), no glasses on the champagne bar, only 1 staff member in the tasting room trying to take bar snack orders (with no draught taps working) - I gave up as knew I was unlikely to actually see anything I ordered given what was happening around me.
It looks nice but I much preferred the T7 experience of old. Shame.
I was there Sunday evening as well. The place was a bit of a zoo when I got there around 7:15-7:30pm (and security was mobbed, lines out of the checkin area, but fortunately (for me!) nobody in the TSA PreCheck line, not sure about a general premium class line), definitely quieter if you walk back through "The Tasting Room" and "The Bridge" although that puts you further from the food (though there was a cold buffet past the tasting room). A lot of staff but they couldn't keep up with replacing food or clearing tables. It quieted down a lot after a few flights announced boarding. I didn't have problems with missing champagne glasses (but I did for soup bowls!). As for the snack menu in the tasting room - it was definitely a cluster trying to give your order, and then trying to get it. People were waiting 20-30 minutes for olives it seemed. I ordered the bratwurst and truffle fries, as I was sitting in another area I said I'd just come back and she told me 10 minutes, so I came back in 8, and sat there and waited, and after ~22m post-order I finally got her attention and inquired and she said "oh I was waiting for you" and she ran into the kitchen to get my cold fries (still decent LOL) and bratwurst (which was pretty good actually).
I didn't have any hot food from the buffet other than the tomato soup which was pretty good. The other stuff (a pasta and chicken) didn't look that exciting.
FWIW, I'd say it's roughly a wash vs. UA's Polaris lounge in EWR (which has better made-to-order food if you can get a table, but worse buffet and no self-pour (or any? real) Champagne).
