Anyway - he did not get home today and tomorrow is very uncertain, so called BA Exec club, very nice and helpful lady cancelled his booking and refunded taxes/charges less the £35, and his partner retained booking but had to use the 137,500 avios instead of the 2 + voucher being used for this. So we are sure the three of us can fly at checkin. Got cut off during call but agent has sent email from her personal email confirming change made. Just need to allow systems to update - no system email confirmation though, which I find strange.

Edited to add - don't know if it was old or new style voucher - could have been old - that's me back to 3 vouchers - 2 expiring this year and 1 next spring.

Edited - was an old style voucher - not the new premium plus one. Manage my booking all updated OK. The agent did it manually as system would not let her do it automatically - maybe why no emails.
