I don’t think a ban is practical. Using perfume or other scented product is a daily routine in many cultures, and one may involuntarily or even unknowingly carry certain scent. Enhancing the air circulation and filtration on the aircraft is more practical.

IMO it’s simply difficult to avoid unwanted scent. Flying is like taking a bus or subway, you have to share space with all sorts of people.
