I recently passed through FRA and at security my bag got pulled and double checked. The next thing I knew the security alarm went off and the agent said that they had called the police as I had explosives in my bag!

Apparently the small AA battery powered torch from Asda, which I’ve carried in my bag for years as an emergency tool was the offending item.

I thought that my trip was over and I would spend hours being interrogated. Luckily once I hand dismantled the torched and showed it working the police officer was satisfied and let me go.

That could have been the end of the start of a tier point run.
