I had to use the SMS support function to get my PC upgrade (from C1 VentureX) correctly processed. The C1 upgrade link left me in limbo on a 403 error webpage and was not correctly showing the new status. Luckily the text message support was pretty responsive and sorted things out pretty easily. I think it would be worth sending them a message that way just to confirm things.
Just a note, on the first reservation she will need to go to the Gold checkin desk and present her ID and credit card (the Amex) to confirm the new status.
