My first trip to BER was a miserable experience this weekend.
On arrival, there were only two desks open for non-EU passports and we (amongst the first off the plane) waited 35 minutes.
This morning the boarding pass scanners at Security 2 broke and we were sent to Security 1. The woman in front of us had so many liquids, gels and electronics in her bag that it caused a security alert and the entire belt was stopped for 15 mins while they searched the bag.
Finally, the queue for passport control was so great that they had stopped the escalator and had created a queue to join the queue. All passport desks were open, but passengers were joining the queue faster than they could process them. We were there for 40 minutes.
I miss Tegel.
