Don't expect Avios or vouchers back but a request filed after the remaining passengers have fully used the tickets will likely yield some refunds of taxes and fees.
I phoned BA this morning. They said to me the other person on the voucher with the no show would not be allowed to fly - so glad I phoned. We would lose voucher, avios and taxes etc.
Option is cancel both on voucher for £35 fee each, or cancel 1 person, voucher is refunded and the other person remains on the booking but uses all the avios for the flight. The cancellation fee is then £35 and I guess we get taxes and charges back for 1 person.
The BA staff on phone been very good. Have to decided what to do by late afternoon as any changes need to made more than 24 hrs before first flight.
Unfortunately looking more likely my son will not make the flight.
Posting update for others who may find themselves in same situation - but hopefully not. Year of planning undone by fog!
