My friends were on this flight and told the delay was due to LHR strikes but looking at flight radar no other flights from LHR had a delay close to the 3hour mark of this one. Just trying to work out if they can claim 261 compensation (they had connecting flight to GLA this morning which they missed) as understand that airport strikes wouldn’t be eligible but I am not convinced this was the real reason for the delay.
BA 207 was delayed out of Heathrow due to a wheel change. The delay code is TD for tech defects. BA 206 was a reactionary delay due to this plus the offloading of a bag.
