I don't really pay attention to Google ratings. Japan is a rather critical country when it comes to rating restaurants. It is not high end sushi place, but a good quality place that is good to take kids.
May be good for kids, but I've been in Japan the past 3 weeks and anytime I've been to a restaurant with less than 4.0, it's been less than stellar. That holds true for me on all continent so it's not a Japan thing. That said, perhaps the OP doesn't care as much about quality and prefers his kids to have conveyer belt fun. For sure I can understand that!
