Latest update:
CI confirmed that according to passenger PNR, the ETA of flight AY041 was changed by AY 1 day after I Purchased the itinerary. Finnair knew of MCT violation within 24 hours of itinerary purchase and >60 days prior to flight, but did not advise me.
If they had advised me of the MTC issue resulting in a 9 hour layover, I would have immediately asked for a refund and booked with an alternate airline, but they said nothing.
This was a case of AY not picking up the violation, which was caused by their own schedule change until the ticket got transferred to airport control 24hr before the flight - over 60 days later. They knew about the MCT violation and resulting invalid routing for over 60 days!!! They then try to blame CI saying it's CI's fault, because they are the operating carrier of the affected flight.

TLDR: AY made a mistake and did not catch it for >60 days. CI caught it and made an adjustment as necessary but denied responsibility; as they should. AY blames CI, stating CI is responsible because the mistake was caught <24 hours before the affected flight.
