Just picked up one of these from Denver Airport. I was expecting a Tesla on the grounds that it's the only EV they seemed to have available for rental, but instead was assigned a Polestar 2. I've never driven an EV before, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but so far (30 miles in) I don't have anything to complain about.

Seemingly they aren't a common vehicle for Hertz, based on the fact the guy at the exit asked me if I wanted to pre-pay my gas. When I asked him how it worked, he started explaining that I could return with the gas tank full, or I could pre-pay... When I pointed out it was an EV he did a bit of a double-take, then flipped to the $35 if less than 70% full story. According to my contract, if I don't return it full I'm going to be charged ~$10/gallon, or 0.10 cents/mile.
