Thanks again for all the helpful pertinent replies to my questions (above) ~10 days ago.

Stay this past weekend, 1 night reservation then 2 night reservation due to rate change. At check-in asked about possible Glob available upgrade, was told no for 1st night, yes for following 2 nights, which was “expected” based on what I saw on online just prior to check-in, suite “blocked” for following 2 nights. Moved to suite next day. (Might have been fortuitous, I was attending the FTU a few blocks away and there were a bunch of Hyatt loyalists at the FTU including several other Globs. I was told by one of the FDAs during my room to suite change process that Sunday to Thursday the hotel overall was less crowded but many more elites so Club breakfast more crowded, Friday/Saturday nights hotel overall more crowded but fewer elites.)

Hotel staff universally very gracious and helpful and always smiling, rooms unchanged from a year ago, perfectly nice but showing some signs of age, corner Executive King Suite (227/243, can enter via door to bedroom or door to foyer) similar to pictures on website but website doesn’t show that there are 2 bathrooms and a large foyer area with 2 large closets and (2) doors apparently to a second bedroom on the other side of the suite, suite with large living/dining/conference room with wet bar and (2nd) frig, suite bedroom slightly smaller than usual bedroom with slightly smaller dresser and usual bathroom and closet and safe and frig, 2 doors between bedroom and living room allowing lock from either side. Yes, this suite is “as far as it gets from the elevators.” (I was also told by a FDA that “most” people want a room close to elevators whereas I had always thought that most people wanted to be far from elevators for noise reasons.)

Rooms with individually sized shampoo/conditioner/body wash/body lotion, no wall dispensers.

Grand Club breakfast unchanged from a year ago, it’s still impressive how much food variety they can cram into that small space.

PC computer workstations/printers in lobby allow boarding pass printing without charge, everything else requires payment. Apple computer workstation/printer in Club allow unlimited use and printing without charge.

(I’m very/overly proactive regarding Customer Service Compensation and I’m very cognizant of when I’m stating something with the goal of points or miles and when it’s just for info purposes.) At checkout when asked if everything was “perfect” I said (for info purposes only without any thought of compensation) “almost”, mentioned that breakfast in the club was a little busy and being a small space I had to maneuver around people which took a bit of time, agent said I’ll pass that along and I’ll post some points to your account, this morning 5,000 Customer Service Adjustment points posted to my account before the stay points and credits have posted.

Overall very pleased with this hotel, sad to see the outrageously generous Healthcare Friends and Family rate ($129) no longer available.

(If inexpensive (cheap and/or ceremonial) wine desired, Walgreens at 7th Street NW and H Street NW, 3.5 blocks/5-8 minute walk, has fairly large selection of wine including some for $6-$7, much less expensive than the $24 minimum I saw in 3 liquor stores within a few blocks of the hotel.)
