New Priority Boarding process for you! 🎫
Dear HON Circle Member on the CoCreation Hub,
We discussed the topic of priority boarding for status customers on continental flights in detail with some of you in late August 2022. Thank you very much to all who participated at that time!
Now we'd like to share the new process with you in this exclusive newsletter.
Internal process and test phase (after CoCreation Hub discussion)
  • A new Priority Boarding on continental routes was tested in a 3-month pilot phase on the routes ZRH - BER, ZRH - HAM, ZRH - FRA, as massive customer complaints demanded a change
  • During the test phase, we gathered feedback from HON Circle members and agents. The results of the new process were overall positive
So what's new now?
  • Beginning May 1, 2023, HON Circle members will be exclusively called to board with the Priority Group 1 on all continental Lufthansa Group flights (previously, groups 1 and 2 were called together)
  • Priority Group 2 now includes Senators, Business passengers and Star Gold passengers
  • Boarding on continental flights is therefore aligned with intercontinental boarding (for this, HON Circle members and First Class passengers are in Priority Group 1).
  • The announcements at the gate will also be adjusted: our HON Circle Members will now be addressed as "HON Circle Member" (the same applies to Senators, Business passengers, Star Gold passengers)
  • Priority Bypass will of course remain in effect (for our priority passengers, we still offer the option to board the plane at any timethrough manual agent boarding)
Will be HON companions then also in group one?
