I never understood why people with children are in the PRE boarding group. I absolutely support people with mobility issues, requiring assistance, etc. to get pre-boarding, but kids make no sense to me. It's not a huge deal on flights like VIE-GVA, but try flying to Lisbon or Barcelona - half of the plane boards before group 1 because they have a child with them.
I think it’s supposed to be children under 2, which is much appreciated when carrying a small child and manhandling a buggy. But often abused.
