This describes me, and I'm usually not too bothered about it either. I also have very little sympathy for people complaining that the crew was too busy serving others and didn't offer a 3rd or 4th champagne topup on a 1 hour flight.
But there's one recent BA experience that still irks me. I had a tickle in my throat and was struggling to suppress a cough. One of the only times I've ever pressed the call button, I really needed to drink some water. Eventually I flagged down a passing crew member and asked them for a glass or bottle water, whatever was quicker and easier for them. They never returned, and the call light above my row remained lit and ignored for the remainder of the flight. I've also witnessed others ignored who wanted similar to help swallow a tablet. I now always try to remember to take an empty bottle through security to fill before boarding, even if flying CE.
