Pros for switching to CSP
- 95k UR welcome bonus (wife referral); worth about $2k to me
- Annual fee is basically a wash after the travel credit and instacart credits

Pros for CSR
- I put a $20k ski trip for next Jan on this card specially for the insurance benefit, and I would lose that insurance if I downgrade. I've never used insurance but it's a factor for now.
- Although I think I could get close to the same return on travel spend using a combo of Amex plat for flights and Citi Prestige/Premier for other, it's psychologically easier to get 3X on the the CSR for all miscellaneous travel spend and to never think about it too hard.
- The only spend I put on the card is general travel (excluding flights) and 1 instacart order per month to get the $15

So Im kind of torn here. The 95k points would be great, and I am always in need of more Chase UR points (as compared to the other currencies which seem to build up quickly for me). On the other hand, the card is working well for me and there is some benefit to the insurance and simplicity here. I really have no issues with the card and would only be switching for that 95k bonus. We probably put around $50k in travel on this card per year.

Thanks in advance
Has it been 48 months since you got CSR? If not its a moot point.

If it has, they do promos every so often. You can wait until after that ski trip, downgrade reserve and then have your wife refer you.
