As mentioned earlier these seats in CE will NOT all be taken/sold, and I think I’m right in saying that the curtain will NOT be moved forward either. I’m not sure that all Y seats are sold either.
Others much more knowledgeable than me might be able to explain more, but the reason is the length of flight with E190 to JMK and the need to have a full tank of fuel and route has weight restrictions, therefore all seats can’t be sold….I’m not sure of the exact number. I think the short runway at LCY might also be a factor. Also, due to the weather, headwinds etc., sometimes they ask for some pax to be offloaded, giving any volunteers goon compensation and providing transport and overnight accommodation (if needed), and putting them on the next available flight.
