China’s netizens love to get worked up over things like this. This has all the hallmarks of a simple lovers quarrel gone horribly wrong rather than some geopolitical targeting of Chinese young adults by nefarious Indonesians.

Anyhow, it’s their loss if they avoid Bali due to this. I doubt many Balinese will be crying over the loss of Chinese tourists. The Intercontinental seems to be doing all right these days and it’s just as lovely as I remember from before.
