The flight from CZM is what... 1 hour and 20 minutes in the air? What did you expect? Why didn't you eat at CZM?
And where in the world did you get the idea that upgrading to First would mean your bags come out sooner? That is a rookie notion.
If you were worried about a meal, why not upgrade the Hartford flight? Dinner was served.
